The team at Met Online’s have sampled the delights of many of the top places to eat in leeds. So for everyone lacking a little inspiration for V day then we have picked our top 5 places to take your special someone.
5 – All bar one – Millennium square
Great central location. Will no doubt be packed on Valentines day. Part of the wonderfull Electric press complex that includes loads of other great bars and restuarts. Middle of the road in terms of price, however, order many drinks and the bill will sky rocket. If you want to have drinks pre or post meal this is the place to go. The Met Online’s number 5
4 – The Elbow Rooms http://theelbowroom.co.uk/leeds/
Chilled out, relaxed and just plain cool.
The food is a little bit of the expensive side for what your getting. But If you don’t want to make a big deal and just want to go and have a few games of pool. This is the place.
Even if it isn’t valentines day I cant recommend this place enough. Often got great live music on. Like them on facebook to find out more.
3 – Pizza express
Pizza express is a classi, Affordable, student friendly and always a great atmosphere! The Corn exchange is my personal faverioute, but there is 3 in leeds so you can take your pic! Special valentines day fixed menu at £30 is next to nothing. Having been personally last year, great little touches such as the live pianist was really added to the atmosphere.
2 – The flicks
Just because its valentines day doesn’t mean you’ve got to go for a meal!(or break the bank) A nice romantic film would probably be good! (maybe instead of the latest instalment of Harry potter) unfortunately valentines day doesn’t fall on a Wednesday, so no 2 4 1 with orange! For cinema times and bookings go to
1 – Carluccios
If you want to impress, this is the place to go. Although part of a nationwide chain, you don’t loose one bit of its intimacy. They have put together a fixed price 4 course menu for the special occasion. A bit steep at £50 (not including drinks) but I have no doubt that it will be worth every penny. Great food, excellent service. Also in a great part Leeds if you want to go anywhere else afterwards. The Met Online’s top pick
